MP Premchand Guddu worked to get new Navodaya Vidyalaya, this new school will be opened in village Buranabad of Nagda- Khachrod tehsil
Cost of the upcoming project is around Rs 12.6 crore.
Central PWD has initiated the process and also been issued directives in this regard.
MP Guddu confirmed that a letter was released by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Ministry of Human Resource Development,
This new Navodaya Vidyalaya will be built for 288 students.
There will be sixteen rooms for teaching purposes.

25 Years of JNV - Rajiv Gandhi Smriti Van
This Summer 570 Navodaya schools across country will pay tribute to the person who started Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.
Each school will have a small green area called "Rajiv Gandhi Smriti Van" on their premises, this green will also have a statue installed within.
New Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) Commissioner, IAS officer Manoj Singh aready dispatched letters to all schools.
This year also marks celebration of 25 Years of JNV , JNV Schools started in 1985-86. Students and staff memberare will plant the trees and no external labour will be employed. Also 35 new JNV will be started from August 20.
Lastly Navodaya Vidyalaya Old Boys'Association will be renamed as 'Rajivites'.
This project will be completed by the time Rajiv Gandhi's birth anniversary on August 20.

JNV Bharatpur - Student Mess Staff Clash
Around Ten students of JNV Bharatpur were asked to leave the school and return only with their parents.

JNV Entrance Exam : Additional training for Punjab Primary School Toppers
Punjab Primary School toppers will have reason to cheer, Punjab Govt. is working on a plan to provide additional training to primary school toppers for Navodaya Vidyalaya Enterence Exam. All toppers in primary classes (1 - 5) will be given special training by education department under "Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan" so that they can score in Navodaya Vidyalaya entrance exam. Three toppers will be identified in each class.
This project will commence in next few days. Parents are excited with this news. Many parents feels that this will be a booster for a kid to study harder and get in top chart for the next year.

Indian Human Resource Development is keen to involve Private Partnership in Running the prestigious Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across the country.
On Tuesday, top notch officials from CBSE and NVS had meeting with Minister Kapil Sibbal and are now working on a draft proposal for the same, JNV and CBSE committee had already approved one such proposal and are now awaiting approvel from HRD ministry, initially there will be pilot project which will run, Navodaya location for the same is yet to be identifies. On Wednesday NVS team also reacted positively on the news of a proposal for construction of new JNVs via public-private partnership..
As per the draft, HRD ministry is planning to open second Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in all districts with a population of over 10 lakh in the first Phase, in second phase all districts will also have second Navodaya Schools. As of now the expense sheet in Navodays is Rs800 to Rs1000 per student per month.

NRI Provides IIT Training for JNV Jharkhand
Forty selected students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Jharkhand are being trained for a 2 year free residential IIT coaching programme, thanks to an NRI, Mohinish Oberoi, based in the US as he donates 2 per cent grant from his salary.
Mohinish adopted the JNV school and decided to financially support intelligent but economically poor students.
His Non-Profit Organization "Dakshina Foundation" has ties with a coaching institute to train Class XI students. also the chosen students has family income less then Rs 3,000 per month.
Principal feels that it will be great honour if these students crack IIT next year. Also during the training, the teachers of JNV are motivating the students to be self-dependent and giving them necessary guidelines to solve difficult tasks by themselves.
Navodaya CBSE Results 2009 - Highlights
565 Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) schools in the country have shown exemplary results in the Central Board of Secondary Education exams this year.
For CBSE XIIth, JNV students achieved highest pass percentage of 94.09, 13 percent higher the national average of 81 percent.
For CBSE 10th Results, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya sought the highest pass percentage of 97.84 percent as against the national pass percentage of 88.84 per cent.
For IIT entrance, 72 students from the JNV Schools made it to the main list of IIT this year. out of every 11 students in JNV one has sought more then 90 percent.
In all the above categories, JNV has scored the position of best CBSE school in the country.

The Kendriya Vidyalayas ranked second to the Navodaya Vidyalayas with a pass percentage of 96.35, followed by public schools (91.89) and at last are government schools with 80.08 percent.
This statastics is cumulative of all regions of CBSE

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has again topped the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class XII examination.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV) performed better than other schools across India with a whopping 94 percent JNV students passing the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 exams.
Results of CBSE XIIth shows girls outshine boys in overall pass ratio, the overall pass percentage for the boys is 77.56 per cent, the girls are way ahead at 86.24 per cent.
The overall pass percentage in JNV is 81.20 per cent, down from 83.57 per cent in 2007, but up from last year's 80.80 per cent.

JNV, KV, Air force Schools - 4.2% of total students
Across the country, people are flocking to get admissions, But in Govt. Schools.
Government schools contribute to 65.4% , the private schools account for 28%.
Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and Air Force schools have a elite share of 4.2%, others a mere 2.4%.
This shows that the transition rate in private schools had decreased over the past three years and people were going in for government schools.

Students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Chandel were accompanied by Assam Rifles recently , Assam Rifles conducted an educational excursion for Class IX and XI students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Chandel.
This tour was flagged off by Assam Rifles Commandant (20 AR),
125 students took part in this tour, some students hailed from Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh.
Students and their teachers were taken to State Museum, Manipur Zoological garden, Sendra Tourist Home and Ithai Barrage.

Adolf Hitler was stunned by Dhyanchand's performance in 1936 berlin Olympics.
Hitler was so upset by Dhyanchand and his younger brother Roop singh's performace that he left the match midway as German team was shattered by Dhyanchand's Hockey skills. Hitler later offered him a General's position.
Ashok Kumar, Son of Hockey Wizard Dhyanchand got overwhelming response at 1972 Munich Olympic, he said an old man in stretcher came to visit him and said "I am a big fan of your father. I saw him play in Berlin in 1936 and when I heard that his son has come here, I decided to meet you."
Ashok did shared this experience in book "Hockey Ka Jadugar" written by Meena Umesh, Dhyanchand's Daughter-In-Law and History teacher at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Jhansi.
Sports minister M.S. Gill was chief guest at the book inauguration ceremony.
