Adolf Hitler was stunned by Dhyanchand's performance in 1936 berlin Olympics.

Hitler was so upset by Dhyanchand and his younger brother Roop singh's performace that he left the match midway as German team was shattered by Dhyanchand's Hockey skills. Hitler later offered him a General's position.

Ashok did shared this experience in book "Hockey Ka Jadugar" written by Meena Umesh, Dhyanchand's Daughter-In-Law and History teacher at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Jhansi.
