RTE - JNV Enterance Test - Notice Issued

JNV Schools were first to hit by Right to Education Act.

RTE act mandates that there should be no screening or entrance exam for admissions in the exams.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), is said to be the first one to violate this rule.

National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) posted a notice to NVS for holding an all-India entrance test earlier this year for admission to 500-odd Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalyas.
NVS.

NCPCR is looking for an explanation, worst case NVS will need to look for exemption of itself from RTE act.

THERE IS NO NEED FOR EXAMINATION IF IT VIOLATES THE INDIAN CONSTITUTION.EACH PRIMARY SCHOOL SHOULD SELECT THE BEST CHILD AND AT LAST THERE SHOULD BE A LOTTERY SYSTEM TO CHOOSE THE 80 STUDENTS.

There should be an entrance test. Through lottery system no rural student is getting benefit. Many people are studying alot for the entrance and getting disappointed by the RTE Act.
