JNV - source of future IITians

Bihar State DGP Abhayanand went on extra mile to proud on the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, that produces highest no. of IITians.

Last month, Abhayanand announced the names of 91 students selected for Super 30 for six centres. Centres are Kanpur, Delhi, Guwahati, Jorhat, Patna and Gaya. These students appeared for IIT-JEE exam last Sunday, April 8.

Abhayanand explained the process of selection in "Super 30", he said the executives visited many rural areas to identify students who had the potential and talent but no resources to study further.
He proudly said that Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are main hunting grounds, and he himself screen students before giving final admission to the centres.

DGP says many public sector undertakings, are eager to fund this kind of projects.

Citing the example of JNV excellence, DGP advised parents to choose the centre carefully for the IIT preparations.
